A few tricks that saved me throughout that journey without a high-speed blender, a juicer or dehydrator were these: Green Drinks like Vitamineral Greens and an empty shaker bottle. You can request bottled water on the plane and mix it up on the flight. Next, as soon as I arrived I started sprouting lentils and other mixes of seed/beans that I’d packed along with a jar. I was able to enjoy sprouts during most of my trip by starting new jars (any jar will do) every few days. Home made raw trail mixes are also handy. Flax or other seed crackers made on the dehydrator are very handy to bring along with a jar of raw nut butter and agave nectar. My sister watched me pack and I could tell she thought I was a little odd because half my suitcase was clothes and the other half raw foods. But people can think what they will. For the first time since high school (I’m now 46) I’m a comfortable , healthy weight (5’3†113 lbs) without ever being hungry or struggling. And for the first time in years I have no migraines and have felt the dips of melancholy that I’ve struggled with being lifted. I’ve accepted that the raw foods lifestyle will look odd to the mainstream, but I’m obviously doing something right so I’m not looking back. Guest guest
Some good info here! I've lived on VitaMineralGreen when traveling, too. One word of caution -- I would suggest using carry on for food. Do NOT put food in checked luggage -- the Xrays will seriously impact the food and what you are ingesting can then have harmful effects. hugs and greens,Sharon~~Sharon Greenspan~~ Dissolve Your Sugar Habit ~~ Boost Your Immunity ~~ Have More EnergyBoard Certified Holistic Health Practitioner301-816-0752 www.wildsuccess.us --for a healthy lifestylewww.wildsuccess.us/naturalzing --for healthy snacks On Thu, Oct 29, 2009 at 11:52 PM, E.
