Guest guest
Greetings all, I am very late with sending this out. Healthy Solutions is looking for volunteers to help with Co-op Market that 6D MPD has asked us to set up during the Hunger Awareness Breakfast. We are looking for about 5 volunteers to help with set up, manning the market, giving information about the co-op and Healthy Solutions, and breakdown. We will set up inside at 9:30am and will be out by 1pm at the Cesar Cheves Charter School Parkside Campus located at 3701 Hayes Street, NE, off of 295 Ward 7. You are not required to stay the whole time - but anytime would be appreciated. The purpose of the Hunger Awareness Breakfast is to bring attention to the alarming rate of poverty and hunger East of the Anacostia River, more specifically Ward 7. During the breakfast residents will learn about local (East of teh river) resources to aid with emergency food assistants, access to fresh produce and economically priced healthy food options. MDP estimates 600 residents to be in attendence. If you are able to volunteer please let me know!
