Guest guest
Hey Skai and every one else. I am 99% sure that Everlasting Life is 100% vegan. I have never seen an animal product there. If they do have chicken on the menu, it is similar to the chikun (spelling?) that is served at the Yabba Pot (the vegan citrus spareribs are my favorite and can't wait to have some when I get back). "Fake" chicken or salmon is a vegan item and not raw. Not every thing on the menu at Everlasting Life is raw but they have a lot of raw entrees. The one in Maryland has more food choices which are fresher because the turn around of the items is faster. The one in DC, I hate to admit, some times I feel that a few of their raw items have been out too many days. I can't say this is the only place I have experienced this at several raw places in DC (the one's that are not sit down restaurants) since it might be difficult to always have food available that spoils so quickly. But since the items are in a cold display case, I pick by site (they usually have 5 to 10 raw pre-prepared items minimum), I ask for samples or I ask what was prepared that day. I usually enjoy my experience if I do that. If I just order based on chance, some times the items seem like they have been refrigerated one too many days. The vegan food I've tried is always good. I heard they renovated the beginning of the year and I haven't been there since.
