Guest guest
Greetings all, My intention was to fully do co-op this week since it has been a while, and I do apologize for it being a while. However, we will have to cancel co-op this week because of the lack of a facility to do a drop off point at. 447 Valley was broken into this week with glass and trash every where! No one was hurt and clean up is being done but it will not be finished before saturday. We do not want to chance anything and have any food brought in and the location looks like that. We are in the works of doing several sites in Ward 7 and 8 before the end of the month and one actually being a co-op market set up that will except EBT with same low pricews as the co-op already offers. Alsowe are working on delivering to senior centers, and churches. But for this week I do have to cancel because of safety issues. I am aware that we are the most affordable option in the area for organic and fresh fruits and vegetables, and many families depend on us. We are working on all the issues that would make us more dependable to function 2 times a month and even working to make us weekly again. But something we can not control, and break ins is one of them. I peronally appreciate everyone who has ever helped to make the co-op function. Guest guest
This email is confusing. Is your food also available in the My Own Health Food Store located in the Rosecroft shopping center? If so, why don't you tell your customers that and let them know that they can still get food at that location? Jeannette Carson T. Guest guest
No, the food from my Co-op was not available at It's My own Health Food Store, the email indicated the co-op that week was cancelled because someone broke in to the Valley Avenue, SE, DC location and renderd it in no shape to distribute food from. We didn't order nor did we put out a list for folks to order from. I suggested if folks who normally order wanted another source I mentioned a source that I knew - which is Erika at It's my own Health Food Store- she is the owner of the store and since I knew food was there I sent the email letting folks know. The co-op was cancelled and if folks needed an option I was just sharing information. Any other questions let me know. Co-op will function this week at Valley Avenue in SE, DC and next friday evening as well at Riverside at Marvin Gaye Park, in NE, DC. , Jeannette Carson <nija312 wrote: > > This email is confusing.
