Guest guest
Greetings Raw Family,Within the last 5 months we noticed a slow gradual pasty oil leak underneath our Vita Mix Canister. All I've been able to think of was how will we pull up another $418.00 not counting what the latest model would cost to replace the old one. Well, after realizing that we wouldn't last more than a few days without our Vita Mix I finally made a call to ask about the leak and was advised that the bearings were probably shot and that optionally, we could either replace the blade ($99.00) or the whole canister. ($129.00). After deciding on an option I called to order a new canister and to my surprise, after 7 years our Vita Mix was just ending a warranty and with a little luck we were able to replace the canister absolutely for free! What I was made to realize was that in the excitement of finally being able to purchase a Vita Mix as many years ago I failed to pay attention to a warranty. One thing for sure though, it's evident that we've gotten our money's worth. There's hardly been a day gone by in all this time that we didn't use our Vita Mix everyday and I still love it.So, tip for this week, check on a possible warranty on you Vita Mix and make sure it doesn't expire before getting some use of it. You never know what the possibilities are. Oh and by the way, the new Canister now has a rubber handle and a better fitting top (we have the 5000 series). For all of you Smoothie, Green Drink and Vice Cream lovers who used to stand around watching and waiting for Ron to make them for you, you'll have to come visit us in our Country Retreat to enjoy them again. Guest guest
I hear ya! I’d be hard-pressed to make it through a day without using our VitaMix. My last one died just after 7 and a half years, so the warranty had expired, but I have to admit, I put that thing to the test many times! I forked out the cost of the new 5200 model, and within six months, the motor died. I sent it in and they had it fixed and back to me within three days! IMO, it’s definitely worth the investment. Their warranty and customer service are both really good. Happy VitaMixing! *^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Tara J Petite tara www.petite.net On Behalf Of E.
