Announcing the first-ever Seeds of Change Urban Permaculture Course, to be held this June in downtown Washington D.C.!! As valued customers, we want to give you first crack at registration for this exciting event.

Permaculture Fundamentals: Designing Urban Food Gardens, June 26-28, Washington, DC.

Location: Common Good City Farm, an urban community farm and education center in downtown D.C. (directions to site upon registration) Instructor: Steve Gabriel, Educator and Program Coordinator for the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute. Host: Seeds of Change, organic seed supplier and promoters of sustainable agriculture since 1989. Co-Sponsor: Permaculture Institute, USA

Spend a weekend learning the basics of permaculture design and urban gardening. Walk away with a toolbox of ecological design principles. Discussion on basic theories of permaculture and ecology will be mixed with hands-on learning of skills including composting, rain gardens, and soil improvement. Course is rain or shine - please dress appropriately. Lunch and snacks provided.

Schedule: Friday, June 26th 6-9pm, Saturday, June 27th & Sunday, June 28th 9-5 with break for lunch. Workshop Fee $200, however, the course is available to DC residents of all income levels. If you are low-income and unable to pay any or all of this fee please call Liz at 202-330-5945 to get a scholarship application. If you can afford the entire fee, please consider sponsoring a neighbor who cannot. Payment: we accept payments by credit card and check. Due to high credit card processing fees we will be charging extra on all credit card transactions, to encourage payments by checks. These are more local-economy friendly anyway! Last Day to Enroll two days before the class start date. Space is limited to 20 participants. Workshop fees include: course instruction, lunch and snacks on Saturday & Sunday.
