Guest guest
I liked the post about oil. I feel that in general raw foodists concentrate too much on whether it's been heating to a certain temperature or not and disregard all other characteristics about food. Dr. Fuhrman has been a great resource of information on this topic for me. Oils are not good for you. Sure, you can have it occasionally, but don't think they're creating health in your body. They are not nutrient dense and isn't that what we're going for? getting the most usable nutrients out of food? oils have hardly any nutrients especially when you look at it on a per calorie basis. Just eat the olive (instead of olive oil)and you'll get more benefits. Thanks for reading.
Guest guest
yes i agree, I started substituting coconut water for olive oil (thanks to Rezz for the inspiration to do this) when i marinate my greens and it tastes really yummy especially mixed with wheat free tamari (nama shoyu still has wheat products, i think, so I avoid that). I feel lots better without oil in my life. Blessings Pam Oils Laura <lauradice Fri, 5 Dec 2008 1:42 pm oil I liked the post about oil.
