Guest guest
HelHi, I am the owner of 5 A DAY CSA. For some general information, 5 A DAY CSA is a company dedicated to providing organic as well as local/natural produce as a means to positively influence the health of all. We work with small farmers who realize at least two things: 1) the importance of fresh food and access to it 2)soil development as the key to organic farming practices. As many of you know, organic is now a legal term; farmers such as Mike Tabor can not use the term even though he grows produce organically at his farm. Please take a look at our blog for information on the farmers that I purchase produce from as well as farmers that I maintain a realtionship with such as the Adderson farm in Georgia. Pictures of the Adderson farm are available on the website as well. We operate the entire season to try to encourage people to not only enjoy the great spring/summer produce but also the wonderful winter produce(squash, celeriac ,apples and other root vegetables) available but oftentimes overlooked. Feel free to contact me at info and get a copy of our newsletter.I was reminded by Nancy Parlette that the recipe included in the newsletter can be made using raw beets as well.
