Guest guest
Hi Nancy, I asked you this once before a long time ago but i'm not sure i got an answer. Is there a particular brand of enzymes you recommend and if so, why? Blessings Pam Tino Dai <oberoc Thu, 6 Dec 2007 8:22 am Re: still losing weight Scott, I think that Nancy is right in the absorption issues. I did have absorption issues (and colon issues) before I went to see my chinese doctor. I think that those absorption issues are slowly disappearing. Also, I remember that you wrote the list with things that you were eating about 6 months ago. Have you stuck to that or have you modify that? -Tino "pnparlette (AT) comcast (DOT) net" <pnparlette (AT) comcast (DOT) net> To: Wednesday, December 5, 2007 5:18:42 PM RE: still losing weight Scott, I wonder if you are having any kind of absorption issues. As I've shared before, I was consistently below weight on the raw diet until I started taking digestive enzymes to help in digestion. I gained 5 pounds in a month and have stayed at a very healthy weight ever since (no longer look emaciated) and that was 3 years ago. You can get a good general one at the health food store, but I also have a questionnaire that helps people figure out what they're having the most trouble breaking down and there are enzyme combinations to match the need. The other suggestion would be to add in green smoothies (see rawfamily.com) . Mixing nutrient rich greens in with water and your favorite fruits makes for a yummy drink that gives your body tons of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, fiber and antioxidants! A natural supplement. I have been raw for about 7-8 months, and have been on the 811 much of that time. However, I am still losing weight. I started at 143lbs, I seemed to have been maintaining my weight around 130lbs. for a while. However, this morning I decided to weight myself again and was at 124lbs. I am starting to get concerned. My wife told me I am starting to look emaciated and she is getting concerned. She told me to start eating higher calorie foods. I basically told here I will succeed at the 811, or die trying! I am going to start using my nutridiary.com account again today to ensure I am eating enough. However, I feel pretty certain I am. I would like to gain some of my weight back. Does anyone have some advice? Thanks. PS: I have been eating 15-20 banana's as a main portion of my calories. I am starting to think I should double this amount. Thoughts? Guest guest
Hi Pam, I have been certified in Enzyme therapy through the Loomis Institute which uses their own private brand called Enzyme Solutions. I also like the health food store brand, Source Naturals and Enzymedica. There may be other good brands out there, but these I have had success with using.
