Yoga Teacher Jana Long Blessings All, When I think of how I want to use my gift of yoga teaching to serve others, I think of Jana

Long, an urban-based yogini of African descent, registered yoga teacher, and founder/director of Power of One Yoga Center in Baltimore, Maryland (www.powerofonecenter.com). The minute that I read her personal philosophy and definition of yoga posted on her web site, I knew I had discovered someone that I could watch for guidance on how to deepen my personal yoga practice and service as a yoga teacher. See below. 1) Personal Philosophy: "I seek opportunities to express

the Divine talents and qualities bestowed upon me. I accept the things I don't understand because I have faith that everything is in Divine Order. Life is an elixir and I am enjoying it moment-to-moment." 2) Definition of Yoga: "Yoga is a way of living. It is a lifestyle that promotes the union of mind, body and spirit in order to bring about transformation and self realization which manifests through our relationships with others and the Universe." www.powerofonecenter.com/yogablog/index.php Through her Power of Yoga Center, the first black-owned, community-based yoga studio serving Baltimore City, Jana provides a healing space to access, express and connect around

ideals of higher consciousness. Since 2001, Jana has offered classes, workshops, and teacher training programs that incorporate the ancient healing systems of yoga and Ayurveda. Things you should know about Jana Long.... Like me, Jana is a Howardite. She is certified in Integrative Yoga Therapy and a student of the Wise Earth School of Ayurveda.
