Hi Wyn,

 

Honestly, I'm not sure about that. But even if one were to use some chemicals on the grease from time to time, at least the overall use would be reduced considerably. And, I imagine someone, somewhere, has a better answer for you. I'll be on the lookout.

I tried this after hearing about it and it worked pretty well.

Is there an additional "trick" for really dirty or greasy spots or clothes?

The salt didn't seem to lift grease or heavy dirt.

Worked fine on clothes that received normal wear.
