What is the deal with the Champion juicer?

Hi,

 

I see lots of recipes say to use the Champion juicer w/the flat plate

to make a pate or things w/smooth consistency. I don't have one. The

juicer I have separates completely the juice from the pulp. So to get

the same result, should I use a regular food processor, or recombine

the juice with the pulp to make the paste?
