Guest guest
Hi Nancy, Yes, I agree, in that context ginger is a far superior choice to any drug. Thanks for clarifying. I think you're going to love those vanilla beans!!!! Typically one bean is enough, just slice lengthwise and scrape out the inside. Haven't had one in several years, but I do remember ... YUMMM! I'm in California, actually. I may get to the DC area one day. Used to, when my (maternal) grandparents were alive. They lived directly across from the National Cathedral, 3140 Wisconsin Ave., NW. But that was some years ago. At one time, I could actually find my way around the city. Wonder whether I could today. Oh, I agree with you on all counts about it not being a ginger deficiency, nor aspirin, or any other drug. However, I work with people who are about a million miles away from where you and I are in thinking and so for them to use ginger instead of Anti-inflammatory drugs is a HUGE step in the right direction. I am AMAZED when I see just how far the health and thinking of the typical American is from the truth . It is SO sad and sometimes I get really frustrated because they look at me like I'm crazy when they, in fact, are the one's deceived. Nancy PS. I am looking forward to meeting you some day. Do you ever get to Maryland? www.healthylivingstrategies.net On Behalf Of ElchananThursday, August 30, 2007 1:47 AM Subject: Powdered products; Pain] (WAS: RECIPES: Bananas - Banana Wraps; Banana Smoothies; Banana Ice Cream; "Antiinflammatories" [ginger]) Hi Nancy, To become a powder, the beans MUST be processed beyond crushing. Just go buy a vanilla bean and "crush" the bean. I assure you that what you get will not look, feel, nor likely taste anything like that powder. But don't take my word for it ... just try it! What is the source of all this pain? I feel rather certain that a ginger deficiency is not the cause/source of the pain. And please believe me when I tell you that you are only substituting one symptom for another. Kind of like dropping a hammer on your foot so that you no longer feel pain in your finger. Works every time ... yet not really a "solution", if you see what I mean. Poisoning ourselves is never a solution to any challenge we may face. Alternative: learn hypnosis. This is a GREAT solution to pain, it's free (once you've learned), and you'll never run out or have to go to the store to get some. True, there is some up-front investment required ... and also true that the knowledge lasts a lifetime. There are times when a person is in A LOT of pain and the ginger is the least offensive way to help - Reality! Hadn't done the banana wrap. Sounds yummy.
