Sending out information about this weeks per item list

and freggie boxes.

 

Lots of new items on the per item list.

 

Growing season on the east coast is slowly getting in

large supply. Lots of items prices are extreme right

now. Slightly because of gas prices and because of

supply not being to the height of what items are

usualy at this time of year. Most growing regions are

reporting being 1-3 weeks behind schedule including

California grapes which is the reason why grapes are

topping 30 and 40 dollars a case. Watermelon and

other melon prices have gone up some in the last 2

weeks and so has citrus prices for the same supply and

demand reasons.

 

Therefore, with this weeks freggies, I have decided to do it a

little deifferent again at the request of a senior

center we deliver to. This week will be more of a

southern summertime box (of course not all items are

grown right now in the south but they asked for it

)

 

Conventional: Peaches, cantaloupe, watermelon

(community, fruit and large box), strawberries,

blackberries, beefstake tomatoes, cabbage, kale,

mustard greens, green onions, corn, white potatoes,

green peppers, carrots, broccoli, bananas

 

 

Organic: Peaches, strawberries, nectarines,

blackberries, collard greens, cabbage, kale, green

onions, beef stake tomatoes, red peppers, potatoes,

carrots, bananas, broccoli

Thursday by 3pm. The sooner the better chance of

getting all items in.
