Guest guest
" Can anybody say anything that will help? " Ron: I've been raw for about a month, but totally raw for the past 2 weeks. I was a chronic coffee drinker and it is really hard. Oh, and I quit smoking. I forgot that part. And detoxing from prescriptions which made for a miserable couple of weeks. Quit smoking. Quit drinking coffee. Quit eating bad food. Hard and do-able. I live with 5 other people and NONE are raw. I found it hard to go cold turkey. I was drinking coffee. I quit that. Then I had one thing I allowed myself for a week before I totally went raw, which was a green tea latte. And from what I read everyone has their slip ups. The thing you have to let go of is feeling GUILTY for being human. You're doing a lot of good things for yourself and recovering from alcohol is no picnic. You're making really great choices and it will get easier. The more I keep to eating raw, the worse " regular " food looks and smells. I've joined a couple of raw lists like this one. I don't know if you have a support structure. If you don't, joining raw groups and reading more about the raw lifestyle may help. This is what is helping me. Immersing myself in it as much as possible. I don't know if that will help you at all, but you're doing what you want and chose to do. Take it a day at a time.
