Guest guest
Good evening, Just wanted to thank everyone for all the advice. I didn't end up being a hero, but my daughter did - she sang with the voice of an angel, at volume that would rock all of heaven. The play (Pirates of Penzance) was a smash hit. As far as what helped her voice, I think the best thing was rest since she had overworked it a week before the show. She did use the Thayer's throat drops that I got her, and stayed away from all others. Never did get her to increase her fruit/veg intake. Thanks again. Guest guest
I went to the PCC to find " Opera Lozenges in a little red box " , but I couldn't find them or anyone working there who had heard of them. I don't remember which email it was that said the PCC had them, and that they were what the opera singers use. Was " Opera Lozenges " just slang for lozenges under some other name? Guest guest
Good morning, I don't remember who it was, but in a private email I learned that they are Theyers Slippery Elm lozenges. I've been using them myself for a few days since I have congestion and coughing. (I'm actually starting to get a little concerned and may see a naturopath today.) They didn't give me profound relief from coughing, but they did seem to ease it a bit. As it says on the box you shouldn't take them for more than a few days and if symptoms persist you should see a physician.
