One thing I dislike about many media articles about raw foods is the

notion that we have to be especially diligent in what we eat to make up

for this " restrictive " diet, because we are missing so many nutrients

(what? like tran-fats, cholesterol, preservatives, artificial

colors/flavors, heat-altered molecules, homogenization-altered fat

cells, etc. etc.?) I'm amazed at how ingrained the belief is that we

are supposed to eat burgers, pizza, by far mostly cooked food (perhaps

a tiny side-salad) and lots of animal products.

....but I digress

Dec. 10--SHELBY -- Sharon Surratt Robbs' heart is full of the Holy

Spirit. Filling up her belly takes a little work. For the past several

weeks, Robbs has been following a faith-based, strict vegan regimen: 85

percent raw food, 15 percent cooked. No meat, no seafood, no dairy, no

animal products of any kind. No refined sugar, no white flour or white

rice.
