Hi Ramona, I am new here, this being my first post. Your topic caught my

attention

because nearly three years ago I had APL Leukemia, and I had many blood

transfusions.

I was not raw then, althou I had learned of it throu my daughter, but I had been

a

vegetarian on and off thru the years, and also alot of sad food as well. At the

time I was

under an insane amount of stress, and drank alot of diet colas, and other bad

habits

(aspertame has been linked

to Leukemia) I did not smoke or drink.

Anyway, I have been raw for going on three months~ after going vegan and juicing

alot

since the cancer,

and to throw in my two cents, I would

of loved to haved received some ultra healthy raw~ food blood in a transfusion

back then.

I was treated by the mainstream medical profession. APL is a acute rare form of

Leukemia

which will kill a person within weeks of getting it, if not treated (by

something) My white

cells were astronomicaly high, my platlets were 5,000 or so, and I was begining

to bleed

internaly~ my red blood cells were very low, and I was told I was anemic ect

ect. I took

ATRA~ a vitamin A form for 1 year. This has been developed specifically for this

particular

type of Leukemia. The gene translocation (taken from bone marrow) has

returned to normal, and I am considered cured. At this point it all seems like a

sureal

dream, and I am not sure what I had really, but blood did help pull me thru at

that dire

time in my life, and I eventually did become a raw fooder because my health is

my wealth,

and it was a BIG warning!

To stay separated from mainstream society may be a choice for some, and I can

see why,

but I think if one is strong and healthy, in mind and body; sharing, even ever

so slightly,

increases the greater good.

I do often wonder how a holistic Doctor would have treated this or if anyone has

any

experience with this type of Leukemia, as they are all quite different.

You never know how it may touch a person......
