It might have been concerns over poor health, a religious belief or apprehension about processed foods that brought them, but all 40 people arrived in a Barron, Wis., home on a recent Thursday night to eat heaping plates of raw, vegan fare. Although my family has pretty much disowned me too because of the diet, even though I still eat some of their food.
