What an awful experience for you to have to go through. I am sure the hosptial

staff thought that they were doing what they felt was right. It is too bad that

they were not compassionate enough to just answer your questions.

 

I hope you are able to locate some kind of patients rights organization. Would

your insurance company be able to recommend an arbitrator?

 

I have been concerned for myself if I ever did have need to use the hospital. I

have noticed that my body has become more efficient and that I absorb things at

a higher rate. We had friends over and wine was served. To be sociable I had

just two swallows and I could feel it right away. I felt very light headed and

my lips were almost numb! It was such a shock. I will not be tasting any wine

again.

 

It got me to thinking, what would happen if I was unconscious and medicine was

inject into me. What would happen? Do we need to wear medic alert bracelets?

Could we even get one?

 

Just a thought.

Quite a few years ago, some of us did discuss medic alert-type

bracelets for raw foodists. There was also discussion of creating a

laminated card (business card size) for the wallet, explaining our

diet, etc. Creating such a card can be done individually on a home

computer. You can laminate using clear packaging tape. It's certainly

worth considering. A generic one could be created for raw foodists in

general, but may not be exactly right for everyone.
