Guest guest
Good afternoon, Today my wife and I took our daughter to the hospital, she had been feeling ill and collapsed when trying to get up this morning. At the emergency room the doctor instructed her to drink 2 large cups of chemicals that would show her internal organs on a cat scan. We were told it was going to take 3 hours to work. When I asked if there were another way to diagnose it (because I was concerned in case it turned out to be urgent) the ER doctor told me she didn't have time to answer questions. When I told her I wanted to know more about the procedure she told me that my (18 year old) daughter is old enough to make her own decisions and accused me of obstructing treatment. The hospital called security and a guard questioned me then told me I could go back in. I went home to get some things and when I came back the sheriff was waiting and the nursing staff instructed me that I was trespassing. I made some sensible attempts to ask questions, then the officer arrested me for obstruction (I put my hands on the wall and went limp to show that I wasn't resisting - I just wanted to ask the nursing supervisor why I was being removed when all I was trying to do was show competent concern for my daughter. (I didn't stop being her father when she turned 18 2 weeks ago). Raw food was never mentioned so I apologized if this is off-topic, but I have 2 purposes for posting it. (Go ahead and shout me down if you want - you wouldn't be the first) 1) I probably don't need to tell you this but stay away from medical " professionals " . The information to do so is available on this list and the consequences for doing otherwise are dire. 2) The hospital abused their authority, even though I've been released from jail I'm not allowed in the hospital to be a comfort to my wife or daughter. I would like to report the abuse to an authority that can do something about it. Can anyone make any suggestions (probably a nationwide organization since I'm in West Virginia). In the end the doctor decided the ruptured appendix was urgent and cancelled the test. Please change the topic to something more joyful if you don't have an answer.
