I received a fantastic haircut at Mode's new downtown location a little

while back and had been meaning to post something about it because I

really liked the ambience. They also have a salon on Roosevelt near

Whole Foods.

They got a shout out in the New York Times Style Magazine's THE LIST in

The Beauty Fall 2006 Issue:

Mode ORGANIC SALON, 1424 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, Wash. 98101; (206)623-

0195; www.modeorganic.com; highlights, $85 and up. At this all-natural

salon, highlights and processed color are organic, sans ammonia and as

chemical-free as dye can get (which is to say: almost). Instead of

harsh ammonia, the salon uses a combination of essential oils and heat

to open up the hair shaft and let color in.

This is great to know for my Seattle clients. For anyone living in Kirkland

or out further like me, there is a wonderful Organic Salon in Monroe (out

the 522 past Bothell and Woodinville to Monroe) Terri is the hairdresser

and her space is called 'Eden's Organic Salon'. She is on Main Street in

the same building as I have my 2nd physiotherapy location. Her # is

(360)863-1565. I think she is there Wed. thru Sat. and has another gal

there Mon./Tues.
