Guest guest
I came across this old article about a raw shop in Honolulu that I used to eat at before moving to Seattle. They had all raw deli items in their display case. Later on, they added some non-raw items to supplement their income. They eventually went out of business, unfortunately. They had a terrific raw carob/flax roll. I pretty much tried every raw dish they made, and that was before I went raw! Jeff Wednesday, July 1, 1998 (very old) Raw Truth How about a sprout burger? A sprout burrito? At this Kapahulu eatery, nothing gets cooked By Michelle Ramos Star-Bulletin Off Kapahulu's main drag of fast-food eateries, there sits a small brick building serving homemade burgers, sandwiches, cookies, brownies, fresh juices and other morsels that, besides being edible, have one thing in common. They are all raw. Instead of ovens and microwaves, the store uses dehydrators and sprouters. Instead of chemically processed ingredients, the store uses living plants, which can be seen growing out of black plastic containers sitting on wire shelves behind the cash register. http://starbulletin.com/98/07/01/features/story1.html
