Guest guest
The Seattle Tilth Harvest Fair is tomorrow Sat. Sept 9th from 10 am to 4 pm, and for people who love organic food, it is a wonderful free event. It is a showcase for organic farmers in the northwest, and many come from all over the state with cases of their best fresh organic vegetables and fruit. This is a great place to buy very fresh organic produce by the case. Besides the farmers, there is a Community Village of nonprofits promoting education and activism about local farm and farmland issues, sustainable agriculture, and environmental concerns. It is a real celebration of this year's harvest, organic food, and sustainability with lots of additional activities described in the link below. The Harvest Fair is located in Meridian Park in the Wallingford Neighborhood, SE of the intersection of NE 50th St & Meridian Ave N. More information and a picture are at this link www.seattletilth.org/events/harvestfair2006 I'm curious if anybody ever considered a raw food information booth at this event. It seems like a natural, and this would likely be one of the more receptive groups to the importance of raw food in your diet. The fair is mostly paid for out of a percentage on the sales by the farmers and food vendors. If you bring your own table, a 10'x10' nonprofit booth site costs $20, and if you want to sell books and other sources of information, it costs $10 more. You can bring your own awning if you want. So as far as information booths go, it doesn't cost much to do a booth at this event. May your day be filled with clarity, grace, progress, and warm laughter, Roger
