Hi Christina (et al),

 

Welcome to Seattle!

 

I teach live-food preparation classes in the Seattle area. I have almost ten

years experience preparing and teaching raw foods. Many people on this list can

testify to the benefits of taking my classes.

 

Regarding chef certification programs, I am familiar with the curriculum at

Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in California. Their facility is top-notch

(I recently gave a talk and taught class there in June), and their program is

comprehensive and world-recognized as the standard. As for Alyssa Cohen's

program, I have heard that it teaches very basic raw food preparation. Both

require quite a financial investment and travel.

 

In contrast, I will be conducting an affordable, in-depth weeklong chef

certification in the Seattle area later this fall! In the meantime I will be

teaching several classes: a super-foods class, a full day, and other more

specific class--raw pizza, etc. Additionally, by taking my classes you get to

meet other aspiring chefs, gain community support, and become part of a local

network. (A few us are also working on getting a raw cafe/restaurant going

sometime in the very near future.)
