Guest guest
Regarding our Potlucks... Tom and Susan have been gracious enough to hold many monthly potlucks, which have doubled for the Raw Co-op pick-up point. While they are taking some time off from hosting they have found others to take over those " first Saturday of the month " potlucks and may still host occasional potlucks. I just wanted to remind everyone that there are plenty more weekend days in a month (roughly 7 per month, plus Fridays!) for hosting potlucks. We can certainly have more potlucks, which offer a time for support from fellow raw fooders, as well as a time to learn new raw dishes and discuss our raw food concerns, etc. If you have an interest in hosting your own raw food potluck, you are certainly welcome to do so. Our website (www.rawseattle.org) is simply a place to list those raw events that people are hosting (among other things.) If there is a date you wish to host a raw potluck, hike, or picnic, etc., that does not interfere with another event (preferably) (the first Saturday of the month should be reserved fort the co-op potluck. Those wishing to host the co-op potluck should contact Tom) simply make your plans and follow the link on the website for hosting your own event. Orion (our webmaster) can then post it to the calendar, so others may find out about it. You may also post the information on this list. The general rule for this list (for all raw classes, potlucks, etc.) is an initial post about the event, then a follow-up post within a few days of the event. Several years ago, we were actually having potlucks every weekend over the summer months, sometimes two or three events on the same weekend. There were also weekday support group meetings and lunches! So, there is lots of room for more events. The recent 4th of July picnic was a lot of fun. I'm sure our members would love more picnics!
