Guest guest
Hi all, Mother's milk is very sweet and is very resemblant of juiced fruit. Infants, young children, adolescents, adults, and all other humans desire succulent, sweet, flavourful, aromatic foods. Fruit is the natural food that meets these criteria. When establishing the normal, natural diet for the human species, one needs to start with wider perspectives, more general observations (as above), and then work out the details (such as the nutrient content of the foods above). When nutrient analysis or chemistry investigation is used as the starting point, a person enters dangerous territory, and is liable to not see the forest for the trees. The point is that scientific investigation will only bring sensible conclusions when it is carefully conducted, using the known to pry more knowns from the unknowns for the purpose of deeper understanding, working from the top down, not the bottom up. In studying human behaviour, to use chemistry analysis as a starting point in determining the dietary nature of the human species is to use a magnifying glass to determine the operation of the solar system. Larger principles and grander observations are required first. Sensibly directd scientific investigation is careful to start at the big and proceed to the small. The reason that legitimate scientific investigation must do this is because it is very easy to promote specious ideas backed by valid but one-sided evidence, ideas that then propagate like wildfire. A lie can go halfway around the world before the truth even gets its boots on - Mark Twain Examples of the wildfire misinformation effect are legion. For starters, it took two thousand years to resolve the specious idea (using very apparent evidence) that the earth was flat and at the center of the solar system ( or universe), despite the truth being known to a careful investigative few all along (the Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians all knew the earth's diameter and its true relationship to the sun) Recent false promotions include the replacement of mother's breast milk with infant formula. Tens of millions of babies (mostly in North America) were denied breast feeding in the 50's to 70's (still today, in fact) due to a " scientific " determination that used detailed but biased nutritional anaylsis and fancy chemistry and biology considerations to reveal formula as the perfect food for an infant's diet and to sway the conclusions and actions of the populace. A similar situation has occurred within the modern health movement. The general observations and wider perspectives that show the true desires and needs of an infant (and all humans later in life) are consistent with a frugivorous diet (mainly fruit) are stampeded by a specious idea supported by valid but one-sided evidence that fails to reveal the big picture. The specious idea is that fruit is harmful to the human, that the natural and normal diet of humans, today, is not frugivorous, despite all the evidence that contradicts the specious idea. Valid scientific investigation, via biology, comparative anatomy, physiology, psychology, history, and paleontology shows that the human, today, is still a frugivore, like most primates, and is evolved to be a frugivore. I recall a situation in which a conventional-eating friend's three kids (age 2, 3, and 5) were playing in their backyard while I was doing work there, and for daily lunches I picked ripe plums, figs, oranges, and persimmons from neglected trees in the backyard. The kids all wanted the fruit, and clamoured around me to make me get it for them as they saw me eat it (they were too short to reach the hanging fruit). I was there for a few weeks doing work, and every day the kids would excitedly anticipate my lunchtime activities and persuade me to get them fruit, despite the mother's insistence that they eat normal food (I had been admonished lightly by the mother, so you can imagine the slightly difficult situation I was in). The mother did not like it that the kids were ignoring their regular lunch of cooked vegetables, a bit of salad, beans, artificial fruit juices, and sandwiches; her mind was on ensuring her kids had an adequate and nutritious diet, as any educated and concerned mother would do (most people do not think of fruit as food, but merely as a dessert that provides no nutrition). At other times at their home, while eating breakfast or lunch, the kids were constantly wanting to eat my grapes, blueberries, figs, and mangos despite their mother's insistence that they eat their peas, carrots, salad, wieners, toast, milk, and cookies (these were really what the kids were being fed). The mother once said to me she wished her kids would eat the food she prepared for them without so much fuss and delay, and as readily and enjoyably as they ate my fruit. It would make her life easier, she said. She, being a conventional eater who was completely sold on the establishment view of nutrition and disease, was not aware of how close to biological truth she had innocently wandered. She could not see the forest for the trees, the truth yelling clearly and loudly right in front of her face (and ears). The modern health movement is swept up in using deep and detailed chemical and biological analysis to make conclusions about a truly simple subject, and uses one-sided evidence to establish error filled conclusions and promote specious claims. The subject has been complicated by modern civilization's lengthy practice of faulty belief driven habits; underneath it all a simple biology persists. The subject of concern is humankind's natural and normal dietetic nature. Humans are a frugivore. It is why mother's milk is sweet and resemblant of natural fruit juice, youngsters can't keep away from fruit, all humans have a " sweet tooth " , the less a child or person is programmed to eat abnormal foods the more they desire fruit, fruit provides all the water we need, humans have fingers and hands perfectly and ideally suited for picking small things, humans love trees and lush green, humans are attracted to bright colours, humans enjoy juicy, textured, smooth, tasty, bouquet-like fragrant foods (fruit is exactly this), human digestive abilities are relatively and comparatively weak (ripe fruit is virtually all predigested nutrients), humans are biologically suited for tree climbing and walking, humans have no natural drinking apparatus, humans originate in the warm tropics where fruit grows year round, and why humans still enjoy surrounding themselves with gardens that replicate the abundant vegetation of jungles. For naysayers, it is left to explain why all of the above observations are so, not to mention the thousands of other like but unmentioned observations, and why these facts are of such a consistent manner that is to be expected of a frugivorous species and no other. These traits are exhibited by the many other frugivorous species of nature (mainly primates, of which humans are one). When investigators use sound principles of investigation and observation, sound conclusions can be made. It is unsound to use a microscope to derive conclusions that only normal eyes can see clearly. Guest guest
> Mother's milk is very sweet and is very resemblant of juiced fruit. While I've never tasted human milk, I can say that I don't really see much similarity between cattle or goat milk and fruit juice. > Infants, young children, adolescents, adults, and all other humans > desire succulent, sweet, flavourful, aromatic foods. Fruit is the > natural food that meets these criteria. The first statement above is accurate (though not precise), but the second doesn't follow. Have you ever tasted the fruit of Low Oregon Grape (Mahonia nervosa) or bitter cherry (Prunus emarginata)? Both are an appealing color and are native here, yet taste so bitter as to be basically inedible. Humans also desire salty and fatty/oily foods. Psitticines love oils too, and if given the opportunity will selectively eat only sunflower & safflower seeds because they're oily. This is a very poor diet for a bird that should be eating fruits and veggies. > Recent false promotions include the replacement of mother's breast > milk with infant formula. Tens of millions of babies (mostly in North > America) were denied breast feeding in the 50's to 70's (still today, > in fact) due to a " scientific " determination that used detailed but > biased nutritional anaylsis and fancy chemistry and biology > considerations to reveal formula as the perfect food for an infant's > diet and to sway the conclusions and actions of the populace. The Nestle/Carnation people assuredly are truly evil in this respect.
