Cookbook/Recipe/Restaurant recommendations

Is it appropriate to ask for these on this venue? I'm thinking that

I will probably need to visit some vegetarian/raw food restaurants

to kick start me on my path. I'm currently in school and working 40

hours a week so spending a lot of time in the kitchen is not an

option for me right now.

 

I purchased a cookbook called Raw In Ten a few months back but I

couldn't really follow or get into the recipes. I think that is a

result of me just having no clue where to begin. I'm going to pull

it down from the cupboard this weekend and go over it again to see

if I can get any new inspiration from it.

 

We discovered the Blossoming Lotus while we were in Kauai in May and

we plan on getting to the one in Portland over the July 4th weekend.

But where are the local digs?
