Fermenting Cabbage and Kimchi

Hi

 

I am very new to this board and not sure if this is the right place for this

question:

 

I have 2 old Crown crocks 4 and 6 gallons that have slight hairline cracks

in them. Will this work for fermenting cabbage with the cracks?

 

Does anyone know of a involving fermenting of sauerkraut and

Kimchi etc.?

The raw family has a book on fermenting. www.rawfamily.com and if you

go to www.hishealingways.com you can find photos showing Victoria

making kim chee.

 

I can't answer your question concerning the hair line cracks. If they

are inside, then it could cause bacteria, but again I don't know.
