Guest guest
I like the Samson (pretty much the same as the new Omega 8005*, I think), a single augur juicer, like the champion, but at lower speeds so the juice doesn't get heated as much. Its cheaper, quieter, and easier to clean than the Green Power. The juice isn't as great as the Green Power, but its darn good, much better IMO than either the Champion or any basket filter, AND it handles both citrus and apples fairly well. Its not as efficient either -- pulp is wetter, but then the fruit pulp is mostly edible and delicious. (Note: not all Omegas are the single augur kind, be sure to get that kind and not the basket filter) Definitely the Green Power is more efficient and makes the best green juice. I have one, and I juice less often because of the difficulty of cleaning it. That said, every juicer I've owned has taken a long breaking in period with me to " become one with the juicer " . The most upsetting thing about the Green Power, though -- please share with me, experienced GP users, if you can help -- is that the juice from dark greens starts foaming up, almost immediately, and I have to dismantle and rinse the gears. Very frustrating. -Stephen
