Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions on where to find organic dried cherries. I managed to locate some at Nature's First Law, www.rawfood.com. While I was on their website, I noticed the Himalayan Goji juice-- antioxidant & supposed fountain of youth/cancer-fighting drink at $39.95 a liter + shipping. Does anyone here drink the stuff & if so: how much do/did you drink over what period of time, & what effects, if any, have you noticed? And if you've tried it, how would you describe the taste? Guest guest
I haven't tried goji berries because they are in the Solanaceae family (the nightshade family) and generally any foods from that family make me pretty sick. A lot of people have sensitivities to this family which includes white potatoes, tomatoes, hot and bell peppers, eggplant, and many other foods. This is something that none of the articles about goji berries mention, and it is quite discouraging that the alternative medicine industry usually fails to mention possible complications. Because of this I have to research any new food that is being promoted as healthy, that I'm considering eating. If goji berry products didn't cost so much, maybe I would have risked loosing a week, and experimented on myself with them. Since they cost so much, and can't be produced on the west coast, I decided to look for more local medicinal foods, which cost less, which will be easier to get if overseas shipping becomes prohibitively expensive. May your day be filled with clarity, grace, progress, and warm laughter, Roger - " bookarma " <bookarma <RawSeattle > Friday, November 18, 2005 6:28 AM [RawSeattle] Goji juice - anyone drink the $tuff? > Thanks for the suggestions on where to find organic dried cherries.
