Guest guest
A moderator's two cents: YUK! OK, now that that's out of the way... >I've never heard the issue before now, I think it's spelled " tissue " . It helps keep the fingers clean! Washing hands, especially frequently, and especially with soaps, tends to dry the skin out, removing natural oils. I occasionally use soap on my hands, but mostly wash with only water. When I prepare foods for others, including potlucks, I wash my hands with soap. Keep in mind that the skin absorbs what is on it. The less unnatural things we put on it, the less burden on our bodies. Some people say only put on your skin what you would eat. Might soaps, sanitizers, and lotions may also reduce our skin's ability to eliminate? If people are associating illnesses with bacteria, consider that colds and flues, etc. are simply collections of symptoms the body produces to eliminate toxins/foreign matter. To avoid disease, let's reduce the toxins we put into our bodies, improve the body's ability to remove toxins, and not stress as much about bacteria. After all this talk of " chunks " , I'll never again eat Ben & Jerry's Super Fudge Chunk! Oh, yeah... I'm a vegan raw foodist, so I won't be doing that anyway!
