Guest guest
Hi all-- Many of you know that I have moved to a lovely piece of land on Vashon. In October (middle to late) I plan to host a workparty to sheet mulch most of my growing area--in preparation for spring planting. Sheet Mulching is a permaculture technique to kill weeds and unwanted grass (without disturbing the soil by tilling), and creating fresh, new, wonderful growing soil by laying down several layers of various materials: cardboard/newspapers (to block out light), mulching materials like leaves, slash, and whatever is available. Locally there is some tofu byproducts, manure, hay, sawdust...etc. Are you interested in learning from the ground floor what permaculture is all about with me? More details later. This could be an all-day event. Are you willing to share your time and talents? Please let me know as soon as possible. Ask questions to the list so we all can learn together. Peace and blessings, Linda Vashon
