Guest guest
I've been having a hard time finding a source of raw organic spirulina. Does anybody know of one? I'm working with a live diet based on the triangle of fruit, nuts/seeds, and greens. Whether its for traveling, or for storage for emergency preparedness, drinking water and dried nuts, seeds, and fruit store well under a wide range of conditions. The dried form of my diet is not as good as live food, however it is lots better than cooked food. Dried spirulina stores well and would be a great green to complement the nuts and fruit. The trouble is I'm starting to suspect that all the spirulina is processed at temperatures high enough to cook it. All the web sites for spirulina, that I have looked at, avoid the issues of raw/cooked and the processing temperature. It would be really nice to have a source of raw dried organic greens as a backup for all kinds of reasons, so I would appreciate any suggestions along these lines. I'm talking about a single raw dried organic green as a food source, not the supplement mixtures where they mix many greens, supplements, and additives. Most of those mixtures put something in that I'm allergic to, and anyway, I try to keep each meal down to just a few different plants, and avoid supplements of all kinds. Also, verifying that all the ingredients in the mixture supplements are raw would be difficult. May your day be filled with clarity, grace, progress, and warm laughter, Roger - " heartsongarden " <heartsongarden <RawSeattle > Friday, September 23, 2005 12:56 PM [RawSeattle] Re: items for emergency earthquake kit ? > Spirilina is recommended by Gabriel Cousens for travel/camping, and I > also try to carry it in my travel bag whenever I leave home.
