good cantaloupes in PCC

I bought two organic cantaloupes at PCC because I could smell the aroma

from the stem end of the melons. They turned out to be the first good

cantaloupes I've found this year. They brixed 13 and 14 which is good. I

also got organic white peaches, brix 19 (excellent). They are very sweet.

 

I've been enjoying organic apricots from farmers' markets. There is one

booth that sells three varieties of apricots and red haven peaches. I

haven't tried their peaches. I tried two varieties of apricots. Both are

good. They brix up to 16, 17.

 

I went to Fredmeyer the other day and found organic bananas 79 cents per

# and organic avocados 1.78 each.
