Guest guest
Does anyone have a raw ranch dressing recipe they like....better yet that kids have liked? My son won't eat salad unless it has ranch dressing. He's not raw. I would LOVE to be able to give him something healthy, instead of bottled chemicals. THANKS!! Guest guest
I like this recipe, not sure about kids. It comes from, " Everyday Wholesome Eating ...In the Raw " , by Kim Wilson GARLIC RANCH DRESSING: 1 1/4 c. sunflower seeds 1 3/4 c.water juice of 2 lemons 1/3 c. oil 1 clove garlic 3/4 tsp. basil 2 Tbsp. tahini 1/2 tsp. oregano 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1/2 tsp. thyme 1/2 tsp. onion powder Presoak sunflower seeds for at least 6 hours. Drain. Blend ingredients in left column with water in right column. When smooth, gently blend in oil and herbs. This dressing is best made ahead, so the herbs have time to contribute their flavor. PS! I added 1 tsp. of raw honey to sweeten. Could use dates, I guess? I also cut the recipe in half. CREAMY DILL DRESSING Make Garlic Ranch Dressing and add 1 Tbsp. dill weed in place of other herbs. Guest guest
I do much the same as this recipe, only instead of the sunflower seeds I use macadamia nuts, and I use fresh onion instead of powdered. Sometimes I use raw apple cider vinegar instead of the lemon and I always add the dill. Best of luck with your son! -Heather/starrrie Lois Cole <loisc100 wrote: I like this recipe, not sure about kids.
