I'm going to give that a try as well. Wow! I'd never heard of doing that before! I guess I better go back and read that book! Sounds awesome! Guest guest
Thank you all for your great input - I have one of those thermometers hanging outside. Can't wait to try the pancakes - I have the Brazil nuts soaking (giving the pancakes a test run before I make the ones to bring with me). Judy, maybe the white stuff is dehydrated, powdered jicama? I saw a recipe for this in " Eating Without Heating " by the Boutenko kids. I'm going to give that a try as well. Thanks again! vegwriter wrote: I've made these pancakes and they are really yummy! I would say just put the dehydrator on the lowest setting. I wonder what the white powdery stuff is in the photo? It looks like confectioner's sugar. _http://www.ksirrawfoods.com/recipes.htm_ (http://www.ksirrawfoods.com/recipes.htm) Judy Judy Pokras _vegwriter_ (vegwriter) editor/founder www.RawFoodsNewsMagazine.com Providing breaking news, authoritative info, and fun features since March 2001. I plan to make these pancakes and bring them to Vashon for a raw breakfast I'm preparing on Saturday - how are they cold? Any suggestions for heating them slightly since my friends don't have a dehydrator? Would a warm oven do? Thanks so much! Ron Koenig <theveganking wrote: My snooping paid off!
