Guest guest
Hello... I'm new to this Raw Foods Group. Just finished reading " 12 Steps to Raw Foods " by Victoria Boutenko. I've known for years from reading other books and reading testimonies about health improvement that when someone makes the transition from processed/cooked foods to raw foods, that the body can heal itself and people can live longer.. healthier lives. (I'm 50 yrs old) I'm wondering if there are other LPNs or RNs in this who have made the transitions from the Allopathic medical profession to a Herbalist, a Naturopath, Massage Therapy... or just anything other than the traditional medical field? At the present time, I'm working in a Nursing Home, and I'm feeling very down about working there, because there's nothing I can do for these people to help them get well and become vital-alive humans again. I dread going to work. I feel like a hippocrit when I dish-out meds, because I know in my heart that drugs will not get them well... but drugs only continue to deteriorate their body systems. Help!! Is there anyone out there who has had a similar experience?
Guest guest
Many medical doctors today are much more open to nutrition (and other more natural methods of treatment such as chiropractic), although they virtually do not get any training in it to get their M.D. degree. One M.D. I know who has made a complete switch to natural medicine is Agatha Thrash of Uchee Pines Institute http://www.ucheepines.org/ . I couldn't in good conscience give drugs to patients. I hope you can find something better.
