Guest guest
Hi All, If you are using a lot of seeds or nuts, you should consider creating a buying club and buying them from Mountain Peoples. Their northwest warehouse is in Auburn, so its pretty convenient to pickup will-call orders. There is a warehouse in Auburn WA and next closest one is in Auburn CA (near Sacramento), and this confuses lots of people. I started buying from them because special orders at most stores are problematic, and they store their nuts at room temperature, so they start going stale quickly. The nuts are stored in refrigerated space at the Mountain Peoples warehouse, so you are getting them fresher and cheaper than is possible other wise. The distributor used to be called NutraSource, then Mountain Peoples bought them, and now www.unfiw.com has bought them, but its still the same warehouse. There isn't any charge for a buying club, you just have to fill out an application. There isn't any minimum requirement for the buying club. I'm a buying club of one right now. To protect the retailers, they charge the buying clubs a bit more, and don't sell a few of the products to buying clubs. The idea being this forces people to still go to stores occasionally. They say its part of the distributing agreement the producers force on them. There is a $200 minimum order for will-call, and I think the minimum order for delivery is $500. If you are buying bulk nuts and seeds this is pretty easy to do. Once you get the buying club setup, you can get an online account, check availability and price, and place orders online. May your day be filled with clarity, grace, progress, and warm laughter, Roger
