Guest guest
The sources you listed are the two that we get our produce from. We started with Rosella's but switched primarily to OGC as they have more of a organic focus, better service, better quality and an overall better level of customer service than Rosella's. The prices are similar but slightly higher at Rosella's as they were not willing to put us on the lowest price level with the grocery stores where as OGC started us there. Rosella's is also not as technically savvy and we refuse to do anything outside of e-mail for our coop (to much work as it is). It was like pulling teeth to get Rosella's to send us the price sheet weekly over e-mail but they finally do. So, yes, we would love to share are process with anyone that wants to start a community coop. Ours does a great job of serving the south end but we could certainly share contacts with folks and even list additional locations on our web site and forward leads to anyone that is close to the appropriate areas. We can also share with you the rock solid process we have built for e-mail ordering, pricing, etc. It is really simple, fun and easy. The best part is the community of folks that are participating and realizing the importance of eating raw. We have a ton of our friends participating now because they know our lifestyle is more healthy (I am healed of stage 4 cancer, Nikki of severe IBS and none of our kids have ever been sick!) but they need some tangible resources for making the changes. So, we do the coop and we host a food prep evening in our home on Tuesdays. We have taught classes as well using www.hacres.com curriculum but for the most part find that people need to be evangelized through our actions before they will find any further interest in education in the area. I travel and present around the country but the to the folks here at home, my story doesn't seem to be a novel. Either way, this is our home and we are excited to help others. So, if anyone is interested, like Tina, in starting a local food coop, let us know and we can walk you through the steps. For those that just want to learn more about it. Visit our web site www.hope4health.org and sign up for the coop. It does not obligate you to anything, you will simply start receiving our e-mail order form every couple weeks.
