Good morning,

My wife had the radio on this morning and I just happened to catch this during

the Paul Harvey show (from memory)...

Researchers at Washington Univ. in St. Louis have concluded in a study that a

diet consisting entirely of raw fruits and vegetables was found to have the best

health effects. I'm on my way to work right now so I can't research it any

further, did anyone else hear this or have a link to the study?

I came across an article last night on bone health and the raw diet.

I was too tired to forward it. I'll send it in a moment. It's another

example of " things are not always as they appear! " Less dense bones

in raw fooders, but maybe they have great health anyway.

If you go to http://www.paulharvey.com/ , click on Tuesday morning and

you can hear it for yourself if you have Windows Media Player. The

diet mentioned is exclusively raw vegetables, no mention of raw fruit.

Ron,

Thanks, I did go back and listen. I thought Paul Harvey's comments on the

diet were the most overtly positive. However, he did mention Washington

Univ. by name so I think it was the same study.

I was talking to my carpool partner, his wife just finished a comparison of

diets as a Master's thesis project and published the results - it did

conclude that a diet consisting of raw fruits and vegetables was the best.

I'm going to try and get a copy of her report, I'll see if I can make it

available. She may also have access to Dr. Fontana's report - I'll post

here if I can get it.
