I have fibromyalgia and have read in various books that an increase

in magnesium and malic acid cuts down on the debilitating effects.

Before I ventured into the raw life I was taking supplements of

magnesium and malic acid.

Are there food high in both and in such an amount that I do not need

to eat, lets say a dozen apples (malic acid), to get the benefits? I

love apples but do not wish to eat very large amounts.

From looking on the internet:

Malic acid is abundant in mountain-ash berries, unripe apples, and

grapes. (see http://77.1911encyclopedia.org/M/MA/MALIC_ACID.htm )

Magnesium is found in green leafy vegetables (such as spinach) and in

nuts. (see http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/magnesium.asp --look in

Table 1.)

Wow Ron, it's amazing how the body craves what it needs. I crave

spinach alot and apples (non sour though). I will see if increasing

these in my diet will ofset the nasty effect of the illness.

Thanks :)
