Guest guest
Hi Jeff, I would love to go to Worldfest and could assist in the gas fee you mention. Please contact me. -Susan Message: 17 Sat, 5 Mar 2005 20:20:03 -0800 Jeff Rogers <jeff Worldfest LA - who wants a road trip? Worldfest (http://worldfestevents.com) is major vegetarian event that used to be at the end of September every year. They moved it to April (it should be a bit cooler). The last time I was there they had at least 2 raw food booths in their food court, which is amazing for a non-raw event. The food was quite good! The event is fun. There are celebrity vegetarian speakers and vegetarian speakers (such as John Robins, Howard Lyman, etc., though I don't know this year's speakers yet.) They also have Lots of singers and bands (http://worldfestevents.com/bands.html), and of course the food booths. I am considering driving down. I could more likely justify it if I had people sharing expenses with me (gas/hotel, etc.) I would certainly plan a trip to Juliano's RAW for a meal (or two) while down there. And, maybe, we could arrange one or five of those organic raw durians the LA raw community has been getting! I would probably drive down Friday 4/15 and drive back Monday 4/18. I'm guessing gas would be about $100 each way (at $2.20/gal). I'd welcome extra for car depreciation, but that's not required. I'd certainly love the company for a raw road trip! Who would like to go? (first come first served!) Jeff Here's some info: The WorldFest 2005 Earth Day Festival Sunday, April 17, 2005 10 am to 6:30 pm at the beautiful outdoor setting of Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA. The speakers are not listed yet. Some of the Celebrities: James Cromwell - Actor Alexandra Paul - Actress Ed Begley Jr. - Actor Linda Blair - Actress Rikki Rockett - Musician Eric Roberts - Actor After the final no there comes a yes And on that yes the future of the world depends. --Wallace Stevens Celebrate 's 10th Birthday! Please >contact me. >-Susan Susan, Just wanted to verify you are still interested in the trip. We may have 5 or 6 people interested. I sent a request to The Tonight Show for tickets (up to 4) for Friday, with Monday (4/18) as a back-up. I decided to mail for them. I can always send them back. Let me know your thoughts on that. To see ths show Friday, we'd need to leave Thursday (otherwise come back Tues. instead of Monday). Let me know your flexibility.
