Good advice Ron! And this is true for anyone going into raw foods who

is overweight or has illnesses and is on meds, etc. Documenting blood

pressure, weight, migraines, blood work, etc. gives a base-line for

later comparison. Photos and video can give good documentation for

visible things like weight or skin health.

A note for people who end up dropping weight quickly... for some,

hair loss can occur, but later returns, (likely much healthier!)

Nothing to panic about. I knew someone who had had tremendous weight

loss, then lost some hair, which scared her a bit, so she went back

to cooked food (thinking it was a sign that her body was not being

nourished, when it was likely just a temporary thing her body created

as part of her cleansing.

My theory for the hair loss - I know that hair analysis reveals

levels of heavy metals, among other things. It is one way the body

can get rid of toxins. When someone loses weight quickly, the body

will be clearing out a lot of toxins that were stored in the fat

cells. It may be purging some of these toxins through the hair

follicles, which can affect hair health. It would be interesting to

do hair analysis tests before and after raw-food weight loss (or even

weight loss by other methods.)

I will consdier all the items you mentioned.

It would be a blessing to lose this weight quickly, but I know the

body will do it as it needs to and at it's own pace. As for hair lose

I can stand to get rid of it...LOL!

Thanks again

P.S. I noticed there's another Helen on this egroup, so if you need a

nickname or something to distinguish that would be fine :)
