Guest guest
Hi, Brandel This is definitely not the nutritional yeast I need for some recipes... One of my cookbooks, "The New Farm Vegetarian Cookbook," says "nutritional yeast is grown in a molasses solution..." That book also says it is bright yellow flakes or powder. The Brewer's Yeast I have says it is "grain grown"...and, it isn't bright yellow... I do thank you for trying to help me! (((hugs))) Cherie A lot of people & companies use the terms brewer's yeast and nutritional yeast interchangeably. Those that don't tell you that they're very different. So I don't really know which is true. But...if it's *flakes*, it's nutritional yeast. Or you can taste it. If it's cheesy-tasting, it's nutritional yeast; if it's vile tasting, it isn't. Does that help?
Guest guest
** I hope to get a discussion/sharing session going at the potluck. Who wants to go first? :-) Perhaps at " announcements " time? Welcome to Henry, Roger, and other folks who are coming to the potluck for the first time. It should be a full house. Looks like a beautiful day for hiking!!! See you all later--- Peace and blessings, Linda > --- Shari Viger <shavig wrote: > > > > > Is anyone going to share what the Boutenkos talked > > > about?
