Guest guest
Do you like raw nog? I make it with young coconut cream/almond milk/dates/vanilla/fresh grated nutmeg! Yum!! Would anybody be willing to bring: 1) a case of young coconuts (if you bring an additional case, I'll buy it from you) 2) soaked almonds (if they soak for a few hours, that's better than nothing!) 3) dates We can make a collective holiday beverage together! If several people bring a cup or two of soaked almonds, it won't be a huge financial burden on any one person, and there could be enough for all! Bring your favorite Christmas CD too! See you today. PLEASE CALL BY 12:00 IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO HIKE TO LINCOLN PARK! I have a zillion things to do and don't want to be waiting for nobody. This is the ONLY time I've asked for an RSVP on the hike! Thanks all! See you soon! Have a Peaceful Holiday, Linda --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
can't come to the potluck, but would love to know your proportions for the nog; especially the coconut cream part. Thanks & Happy Solstice - Shari
Guest guest
I like the sound of that. I might add some tumeric to give it that warm yellow color. Here is another drink I have been enjoying. It's supposed to help make joints more flexible. To stop popping and cracking in the joints. It's from my yoga teacher, it's called Golden Milk 1/8 teasp tumeric 3 cardamon pods 1/4 cup water (approx) simmer 5 - 7 mins. to make a tea 1 cup milk (almond) 2 tablespoons almond oil (cold pressed) warm up to desired temp. add sweetner if desired you can (and I do) make if frothy by putting it in the blender (the recipe doesn't say to strain it but I asume you do.) I add a little powdered cinnamon on top lately. Nutmeg would be good too and really remind me of an eggnog drink.
