Guest guest
I too use Anderson Almonds and this year I am having trouble getting them. I wrote to Mele and this is what she sent back to me: <This year's nonpareil crop was short so what we're offering is outside row almonds grown in our organic fields or chipped & scratched certified organic almonds. We're not allowed to call the outside row almonds " organic " but they were grown with the same methods in the same field as our certified organic almonds. We have roads 15-20 feet wide surrounding our orchard between our field and our conventional farmer neighbors. The price for the outside row almonds is $4.25/lb. The price for our certified organic chipped & scratched nonpareils is $4.00/lb. Please let me know if you'd like either of these options or if you'd prefer one of our other varieties of almonds. Thanks very much! Mele Anderson>
