Guest guest
Greetings: Thank you for choosing Bowenwork Pain Relief Center, I am grateful to serve you. I will faithfully use my experience and knowledge assisting your health recovery. For ill or healthy people; Every body does better with Bowen. Do you know someone who would benefit? Spread the good will. Together, we can do a little to help another. What is BowenWork? Bowenwork is like tuning a piano (your body,) or re-booting a computer program (your brain.) Time is needed to accomplish proper piano tuning, also for correct program re-booting. Your body works the same way. One or two Bowen moves initiate balancing of your nervous (para/sympathetic, fight or flight) system. From one treatment up to a full 7 days may be required to achieve maximum benefit. Melody played upon a properly tuned piano delights the senses. A working computer program produces accurate data. As your body begins to tune-up function improves. How do I know it's working? Progress evaluation data are pain levels, past history of injury and medical intervention, sleep and toilet patterns, defining goals, emotions and feelings, objective feed-back, etc. A piano tuner uses the pre-set do-re-mi scale but what scale do we use? Our pre-set scales are divinely crafted limiting our knowledge and understanding of innerworkings. All modalities recognize this self-healing mechanism attesting to the proliferation of paradigms. Tom Bowen discovered a way; Bowenwork, which respects this unique handiwork by catalyzing (re-setting) a cellular energetic response prompting whole body circulation, in effect tuning-up an out-of-tune piano. This is why minimum Bowenwork moves reveal powerful results. Effects may be immediately felt and may take up to 7-10 days before completion. One treatment may be sufficient, two will greatly increase proper tuning; however, multiple imbalances deteriorate the body's resources indicating additional sessions. Inform me of your current therapies. What happens next? Receiving Bowenwork begins with treatment itself and settles (tunes) through the body up to 7-10 days. Each day may prove symptomatically unique; note each day and wait 6 days before assessing the previous treatment. Your body will detoxify; drink 2 quarts of distilled water each day for 2 weeks, take a walk each day, wait one week for your follow up appointment. If you have problems throughout the week, call me. Return for follow-up on day 7. Treatment schedule and fees $50 45 minute session time including consultation. Come 15 minutes early to relax. The 1st and 2nd tx may be seen going hand in hand, as the second one increases re-setting if more cannot be taken. One/two tx may be sufficient for various things. A series is suggested for developed, problematic issues. One tx for fibromyalgia, for instance, may reduce symptoms, but many tx are needed to tune completely. At times one procedure or part of one may be all that is required to obtain greater results. Grace upon you, Kevin Thurber, Certified Bowenwork, Licensed Massage Practitioner Hallmark of Bowenwork: Respects the priority list, time line, manner of inherent tuning mechanism (healing capacity.) The body tunes if, how, and, importantly, when it chooses. Once Bowenwork moves are applied, computer (brain) priority takes blanket authority supplanting subjective (personal) plans. For instance, presenting for tinnitus, after one tx, 5 years of menopausal symptoms vanished though the tinnitus moderately improved for one woman. Recall circumstance, history, and experience of each issue. Changes may appear subtle or big; use your pain scale 1-10 (10 worst,) observe general data i.e. stairs, driving, nutrition, hobbies, chemicals, sleep, energy, etc. Noting these questions and anything you feel pertinent will assist your evaluation of progress over the next number of weeks. Has the pain resolved? Is the pain less (more) on a scale of 1-10? Is the pain smaller (bigger) than it was? Is the pain easier (harder) to withstand? Is there pain where none had been? Is there something associated with this area? Has a previous pain returned? What are the conditions now? How do you sleep? Do you wake up to urinate? Does pain wake you up? How's your endurance, performance, placement? Do your joints feel better (worse)? Do you feel more flexible(stiffer), graceful (awkward), tall (pressed down)? Are you more relaxed (anxious), less irritable (snappy), more patient (distracted)? Are you constipated, have digestive, nutritional problems? Allergies? Cancer? Energy level in morning, noon, and night? Medications (dosage levels +/-) and current treatments? Do you have conditions, neurological problems, or syndromes? Do you have headaches or migraines? Do you have TMJ problems or tail bone injuries. Do you have imminent surgery? What is your diagnosis? Falls, accidents, times of high emotion and stress? Do you have asthma? Are you pregnant? Are you attempting? Do you have PMS or menopausal symptoms? Do you have breast problems? Have you had gynecological surgery? Note the timing, flow, conditions of your menstruation or frequency/intensity of hot-flashes/sweats. Male health issues? How's your circulation? What limitation (s) are you experiencing? Gone, better, worse? Scale of improvement 1-10 Your questions revealed through tx. You've pulled a muscle which you've pulled before, or any such circumstance reoccurs, or if you have a flare up note the changes in duration, intensity, and recovery time and the circumstances surrounding the event.
