Guest guest
With the holidays close at hand, many people will be buying gifts for friends and relatives. While we already make a statement with the kinds of foods we buy, we also can make a statement with where we spend our money for other things. Some churches hold Alternative Christmas Fairs to offer products for sale that directly benefit the poor and needy. We can also chose wisely what companies we want to support with our purchases. Overseas countries are exercising this right by boycotting American-made goods (see http://www.organicconsumers.org/corp/overseas110304.cfm ). See http://www.boycotts.org/ for more information about boycotts. Ron Koenig
