Guest guest
I would like to start a discussion here about the costs of eating raw. Strictly from a food budget perspective (not a health perspective), is it cheaper to eat raw? There is talk about the appliances you have to buy and the time involved making raw dishes, but it would seem to me that raw ingredients would be cheaper than prepared foods, thus lowering the food budget. For me at the time I heard of this group, because I had candida, I had eliminated much of the raw food I had eaten in the past, which was sweet fruit, but was spending over $100 a month in herbal remedies. I haven't needed the remedies and my health has improved on a mostly raw diet. So it has definitely saved me money and improved my health. I'm thinking there are people out there that won't be drawn in to raw by the health benefits, but if it could be shown that it is cheaper to live this way, they just might give it a try.
